It is also popular in Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and many more Far Eastern countries, however did you know that human beings have been sporting tunics since the beginning of time? That’s right in fact it was designed by God Himself for His Priests in the Old Testament in Exodus 39:27 as a part of their Priestly Garments. This particular pattern is a Salwar Kameez, and it is also known as a Punjabi or Sari suit. It consists of a dress-length tunic worn often below knee length, usually with slits along the sides, comfortably loose pants, and a shawl known as a dupatta is worn as a shoulder or head drape. Just as the Jewish Priests wore the ephod with 12 different stones that represented the twelve tribes of Israel this garment represents many nations. In the winter of 2000 this garment was introduced to Praise dance.  Praise dance costumes have many different colors and symbols that help to tell the dancer’s story, and the kameez or tunic is the beginning base for many beautiful styles of clothing worn around the world. This is a  Garment of Intercession because when the dancers wear this garment they represent the Nations.  Please Pray for all of our Nations.
